Red Lotus Events is a community interest company (CIC). This means that everything we do is for the good of the public, we work for the benefit of the community. As a CIC, we like to play our part in creating a strong, sustainable and socially inclusive community and economy. We put our hearts and souls into educating the public in arts and culture and we do this by creating indoor events such as Sur Dhara and outdoor events such as Rangeelu Gujarat.
In addition to education through events, we do what we can to support causes that need help, so all funds raised at these events are reinvested into the next event as well as distributed to those who need it most. In the past we have been able to support charities such as:
• Macmillan Cancer Support
• Save the Children
• Sankara Eye Foundation
• Make-A-Wish Foundation
• Bal Gopal Foundation
After seven years supporting charities around the world, this year Red lotus Events CIC will be collecting funds for an outreach programme where some members of the Red Lotus Events team will personally meet people in need and hand them the necessities that they so desperately require. Whether it is medical, nutritional, educational or help towards recovering from world disasters, the funds will go where they are needed the most.
Updates, pictures and full reports of the activities will be available on the website and our facebook page.
We are only able to do this work with the support of you and our sponsors and we are forever grateful for this continued support that we receive. We fully realise that we are not able to do our work without you and the support we receive from our contributors.
In 2017 the directors of Red Lotus Events CIC visited the poorest villages of india in the state of Orissa, after days of trekking they reached the village with a Doctor medications, food and essential living supplies.
The village in Kolahandi consisted of 70 homes/ families of each were provided with 2 months of food and supplies (the nearest shop was a 10km walk away from the village).
Every member of the village had a medical check up by our Doctor, and necessary medications were provided for adequate treatment. All babies, children, elderly were given a months worth of follow up medicines also.
